Former Tottenham star, Jamie O’Hara has provided some reasons Arsenal might end up not winning the Premier League title this season.
After managing a 1-0 win over Leeds United in the Premier League Week 11, the Gunners drew 1-1 with Southampton in Week 12 and were defeated ’2-0 by PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League on Thursday.
O’Hara said these results show Mikel Arteta’s side may struggle to maintain their title charge in the English top flight while playing in the Europa League.
The defeat to the Dutch side was only Arsenal’s second loss of the season and a draw would have seen the north London secure the top spot in their group,
“It just shows the weakness in Arsenal in terms of the squad,” he told talkSPORT.
“But as the season progresses the games come thick and fast, all of a sudden tiredness is going to set in, you might pick up an injury here and there, and then you’ve got to play a different team, different players, different squad and they will struggle.”
