Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has said Arsenal will not win the Premier League title this season, because “they crumble at the end of the season”.
Neville, speaking on The Overlap, insisted that the Gunners have shown in recent years a propensity to fall apart at the tail end of the campaign.
Mikel Arteta’s men have emerged as surprise contenders for their first league triumph since the Invincible season in 2003-04.
And although they can secure the top spot at Christmas with a victory over Wolves on Saturday, Neville feels City will defend their title.
“The only thing Arsenal have proven in the last few years is that they crumble at the end of the season.
“Until I see that they don’t, I’ll still have that doubt. Why would I not?”
Last season, Arsenal missed out on a Champions League spot, despite being four points clear of Tottenham Hotspur with three games to go.
