Former West Brom star, Hal Robson-Kanu, has taken a dig at Manchester United’s superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Robson-Kanu was responding to a tweet from Footy Accumulators which compared Ronaldo’s current situation to Robson-Kanu’s in 2016.

Footy Accumulators tweeted: “Crazy to think that Cristiano Ronaldo is basically auditioning for a new club during this World Cup…

A bit like when Robson-Kanu ended up getting a contract at West Brom after his Cruyff-turn goal against Belgium in 2016. Wonder if the Baggies have room in their squad?”

Robson-Kanu replied to the tweet, saying:”Ronaldo not got that in his locker…”

Ronaldo is now in search of a new club heading into the mundial after falling out with the Red Devils.

Ronaldo had recently granted an interview to British ace journalist, Piers Morgan, where he slammed Manchester United owners, the Glazers, the club’s hierarchy and manager Erik ten Hag.

If not for anything, Ronaldo will never play for the Red Devils again for saying that he has no respect for his manager, who according to him, does not respect him either.

The World Cup will now serve as an audition for the 37-year-old as he looks for a new home ahead of January.
