Europa League: I’ll never forget – Uzoho reacts as Omonoia loses 1-0 to Man Utd

Omonoia Nicosia goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, has said playing at Old Trafford was a “dream come through”.

Uzoho started for the visitors against Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Nigerian faced 34 shots from Erik ten Hag’s men, and made 12 saves.

Uzoho was only beaten by Scott McTominay’s effort in the 93rd minute.

After the game, he tweeted: “Today my dream came through.

“Old Trafford, I will never forget tonight.

“GGMU. IN CHRIST ALONE.”

The result leaves Omonoia bottom of Group E with no points, while United are second with nine points, three behind Real Sociedad.

Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, has voiced his admiration for his nephew, Alex Iwobi.

Iwobi has turned his career around at Everton after initial doubts about his potentials.

The 26-year-old arrived Everton from Arsenal in 2019 but took time to settle down at the club.
