Kanu ready to take over as Enyimba FC chairman

Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, is reportedly lined up to become the new chairman of Nigeria Premier League champions, Enyimba.

The Peoples’ Elephant Board was dissolved by the Abia State Government this week.

Felix Anyansi-Agwu was the team chairman 23 years ago.

The Aba giants won nine NPL titles and two CAF Champions League titles during his reign.

According to reports from Umuahia, Kanu, a former Premier League winner, has been earmarked for the position.

CAF Champions League will be Enyimba’s next competition.
