Lazio are still looking for strikers and the latest on their radar is FC Basel star Zeki Amdouni.
Apparently according to Sportitalia, the 22-year-old Switzerland international impressed their scouts with his tactical versatility.
More than a pure centre-forward, he can also play as a support striker or on the left side of a trident in Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 formation.
He netted five goals in just five senior caps for Switzerland. He helped FC Basel to the Europa Conference League semi-finals, netting seven goals in eleven games, including two against Fiorentina
Sportitalia transfer consultant Alfredo Pedulla maintains a deal could be done for circa €12m, rather than the price Santos want for Marcos Leonardo.
Another candidate for the role of forward would be Dnipro centre-forward Artem Dovbyk, who has also been linked with Torino and Salernitana.
Lazio are in the Champions League this term and need to bolster their ability in depth, as Ciro Immobile is the only real centre-forward in the squad.
But let’s wait a few more days to see if he will be signed. Apparently the player wants signing and needs a trial in Seria A.
