Manchester United are continuing to hold talks with Atalanta over striker Rasmus Hojlund.

United suffered a setback in their pursuit of the Danish international last month. This is after the Italian outfit slapped a club record £86m transfer fee on the youngster.

United, whose interest in England skipper Harry Kane has cooled, could now send Atalanta a player they purchased from them just two years ago. This could sweeten the deal.

United’s pursuit of Hojlund is set to rumble this summer. This is as they look to strengthen their forward line with the addition of an up-and-coming striker, who could lead the attack into the future.

The club is strongly linked with Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. However, they look like they will be priced out of a move for either player – rated at £100m and £80m respectively.

Hojlund was loved during his debut campaign in Italy following his move from FC Copenhagen. He scored 16 goals, including at the start of the season with the Danish side and later with the Serie A outfit.

Despite reports claiming the striker is keen on a move to the Red Devils, Atlanta remain unwilling to allow the 20-year-old to leave on the cheap.

This week will tell us their effort added on their player .
