PSG superstar Lionel Messi has revealed that Barcelona does not want him to return.
Messi said he got the hint from club manager Xavi told him.
The superstar Argentine 2022 World Cup winner spoke Wednesday during an interview with Mundo Deportivo.
Messi is leaving PSG on June 30th when his current deal expires at Parc des Princes, the French Ligue 1 champions revealed last weekend.
The 35-year-old kicked his last ball for the French Ligue1 dominant side on Sunday against Clermont Foot.
The 7-time Ballon d’Or winner had been linked with a return to Barcelona and Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, but he has now decided to join Inter Miami.
“I’m not sure if Barça did everything possible to make it happen, honestly; I just know what Xavi told me,” Messi said.
“I’m sure that there’s people into the club that do not want me to return to Barça, considering that is negative for the club”.
