Brazilian striker Neymar, Roma target Renato Sanches, and international for Italy Marco Verratti have all reportedly been notified by PSG that they will not be participating in the project.
Yesterday, when Verratti and Neymar trained separately from the rest of the team, ostensibly due to a virus, there were already reports of trouble.
They are not the only ones, though, as Renato Sanches, a transfer target for Roma, Juan Bernat, and Hugo Ekitike, a centre forward, were also told of their absence.
The PSG media day, which was held to take the players’ official photos for the upcoming season, was also skipped by these players.
This might be PSG opening the door to Roma’s desire to acquire Renato Sanches on a loan with the option to purchase for €10 million as opposed to an obligation.
Verratti and Neymar are both considering the Saudi Pro League in the meantime, but thus far, the offers have not been deemed appropriate.
Verratti, a player for Italy, has spoken with both Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli.
