Rivers United captain Nyima Nwagua has urged his teammates to look forward to having a successful Nigeria Premier League campaign next season.
The Pride of Rivers failed to defend the NPL title they won last season. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Enyimba in the final match of the Super Six playoffs.
Enyimba won the 2022-23 NPL season over Rivers United.
Nwagua expressed disappointment at missing the Premier League title.
“I feel gutted we couldn’t bring the trophy home, but I’m nevertheless proud of this team, we fought till the end,” he told DAILY POST.
