Steven Gerrard, who just got the job as manager of Al-Ettifaq, is going to go after some of the best players at Liverpool.

The previous Reds chief is in shock converses with sign Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson.

The Saudi Pro League club is leading the charge to sign the Liverpool captain, and the former England international, who was recently appointed as Al-Ettifaq manager, is leading the charge.

French football writer Marc Mechenoua reports that Gerrard has focused on Henderson and is excited about making the Reds commander one of his most memorable signings as Al-Ettifaq chief.

The Saudi club has already contacted the midfielder to talk about moving, and it is said that talks are already going on.

However, according to L’Equipe, the player has yet to decide whether or not to relocate to the Middle East.

The news, however, reports that Henderson’s proposed move to the Saudi Pro League is in advanced stages.

Henderson, 33, is contracted to Liverpool until 2025, having restored his arrangement in 2021.

However, Gerrard is hopeful that he can negotiate a deal using his connections to Liverpool and the player in particular.
