Transfer: West Ham eyeing Man Utd star Scott McTominay

The summer transfer window is now around the corner. Manchester United will be out to improve their squad as they prepare for a return to the Champions League.

After finishing third, winning the Carabao Cup, and still having the FA Cup final to play, the Red Devils have been rejuvenated under Erik ten Hag.

He believes that the Hammers would like either Harry Maguire or Scott McTominay as United look to beat Arsenal to Rice’s signature.

Speaking on The West Ham Way podcast, he said: “We suspect the rumor of Manchester United entering the Declan Rice race with a player + cash deal could be true. Any deal involving Harry Maguire & Scott Mctominay would be considered by West Ham.”

However, reports in France suggest Napoli are looking for 180million Euros to sell the Nigerian.

This works out at around £155m and would see United smash their transfer record and the Premier League’s should they attempt to make a move.

But given the club’s ownership situation, any deal feels a long way off.
